“Experience La Dolce Vita on the Amalfi Coast” is an article featured in the Fall/Winter 2023 Issue of the Inspirato Magazine. The article explores the food and culture along Italy’s southern coast as experienced by a solo traveler. The design of the article reflects this theme using vintage-styled photographs and a soft, muted palette to invoke the feeling of reading a menu while dining al fresco on the coast.

Voulez-Vous Bonbon is a new gourmet chocolate company in Northern Colorado specializing in hand-crafted bonbons and chocolate confections. I was tasked with creating a ‘70s inspired brand with a modern, luxury feel. Voulez-Vous is a new small-business so the branding is designed to be versatile and thorough in anticipation of growth, including multiple logo variations, badges, color palette, and iconography for use across company packaging, marketing materials, website and social media.

These animations are part of Empower Retirement’s consumer facing “Empower Insights” campaign. The goal of these social posts is to increase engagement and drive traffic to free Insights articles hosted on Empower’s website that provide easy to understand financial tips and commentary on current events.
The Art Director and I collaborated to define an animation style for the brand that incorporated forward momentum and micro-movements that help the motion of every element feel natural to the eye.

Empower Retirement has grown at a rapid rate since its formation 6 years ago. This modularization project set out to automate custom enrollment materials for new clients in the large/mega/not-for-profit segment. These templates are built on a grid that allows for user-supplied or selected: logos, photography, fonts, colors, graphic elements and variable content blocks. The sampling below illustrates how the templates can be customized with the automation tool to achieve a custom branded feel.
There are four categories of templates, the category shown here was classified as “Testimonial.” The idea was to highlight employees and utilize their photos, quotes, and insight to create an experience that feels personal. The design features large portraits and multiple areas to add quotes paired with bold blocks of color and shapes that create a young, fresh feeling design that is not often found in retirement materials.
